Compassion is a core value at Clarvida, and our team member Aniya in Indiana is proof that caring can change the world.

Recently, a DCS Family Case Manager was faced with a crisis when a child on her caseload —the sister of a child on Aniya’s case load — went missing. After minimal assistance from local police, she reached out to Aniya. With compassion in her DNA, Aniya immediately joined the mission of finding the missing child.

 The DCS manager wrote to Aniya’s leader to explain the situation and share her gratitude:

“Even though Aniya is not assigned to this child, she still showed a great deal of passion, perseverance, care, and diligence in getting this child to safety. She drove [to help] and jumped into action. She matched my energy and took it upon herself to treat this situation as if she was looking for her own child… She knocked on doors, interviewed residents, held the child on her caseload to honesty, and left no neighborhood or park unturned in our efforts to find this child. After all of our efforts, we did find the child safely, without the help of [local authorities]. Finding this child took someone who genuinely cares about children, and understanding that exercising due diligence is key to bringing children home safely and that is found in YOU.”

Not only was the DCS manager appreciative of Aniya’s help, but she is thankful for her work every day:

“I want to thank you for the work that you do with the children on your caseload. You may not hear it often, but you do make a difference. You are helping so many young people with your story and your compassion. Some people do this work for so many reasons, but I can tell that you do this because you truly care and that makes all of the difference… God placed something special in you and I know your purpose will continue to change lives.”
