ECPS and VPR Join the Clarvida Family in Illinois

We are proud to announce that Enhanced Community Placement Support (ECPS)/Virtual Residential Program (VRP) became part of our Clarvida family in Illinois on August 1, 2024.

Operating in Rockford, Matteson, and Peoria, the program provides intensive treatment to support youth and their families through crisis, with the goal of keeping them out of residential treatment. It is modeled by a team approach to address each need of every youth. The core client team includes a caregiver, therapist, youth and family support specialist, and behavioral coach. Additional specialists, such as parenting coaches, extended family, and school liaisons, can be brought in as needed.

The youth and their team work through a five-phase system:

  1. Assessing needs and creating stability
  2. Working through treatment goals
  3. Implementing structure in the home
  4. Encouraging ownership of the structure and ensuring consistent progress
  5. Stepping down to a community provider

Giving choice and power to the client, this concept is designed with a strengths-based approach that empowers youth to progress throughout treatment.

“Our Enhanced Community Placement Services program is not just a new initiative, it’s a heartfelt commitment to guiding vulnerable youth towards a future that includes stability, support and hope,” explained Ronica Patel, Executive Director of Illinois. “By embracing this innovative five phase-based approach, we are dedicated to turning challenges into opportunities and helping every child find their path to a brighter tomorrow.”
