Georgia Team Achieves Outstanding Fidelity Scores in Supported Employment Program
Congratulations to our Georgia team for their impressive results on the recent Fidelity Scores for the Supported Employment Program!
This program is designed to help clients with mental health challenges, as well as those with co-occurring substance use disorders, to secure and maintain meaningful employment within their communities across Georgia.
What Are Fidelity Scores?
Fidelity Scores are used to measure how closely our program follows the proven model it’s based on. In simpler terms, it checks if we’re doing things the right way to get the best outcomes for our clients.
The Supported Employment Program is funded by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). This program uses a well-researched method called Individual Placement and Support (IPS), which is known for its effectiveness. Every year, DBHDD conducts a review to assess how well we are sticking to this method, scoring us on 25 different criteria. The highest possible score is 125.
Our Exceptional Results
This year, our Georgia team scored an incredible 118 out of 125. This high score means that we have “Exemplary Fidelity,” which is the highest level of achievement. This indicates that our services are being delivered according to the best practices in the field, leading to better outcomes for the clients we serve. It also helps secure ongoing funding for our program.
Where We Serve
Our Supported Employment Program operates in five locations across Georgia: Augusta, Savannah, Thomasville, Albany, and Columbus. A total of 32 dedicated staff members provide support to around 550 clients. All these locations are included in the annual Fidelity Review.
Why This Matters
As Robert Howell, our State Director of Supported Employment, says:
“Supported employment not only improves the lives of the clients we serve but, in many cases, saves them. It gives them purpose and hope in life, offering something positive to focus on beyond the severe and persistent mental illness they face every day.”
A Well-Deserved Congratulations!
We are incredibly proud of the Georgia team for their hard work in maintaining such high standards in their program. Your dedication ensures that our clients receive the best possible support, and we look forward to your continued success.
