Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

Overview

The IBHS model focuses on skill development to support emotional and behavioral issues for children birth to 21 years of age through a child-centered, strengths-based approach. Services are provided in the home, school, and/or community settings as deemed necessary by the child’s treatment team. There are three services offered within IBHS; Applied Behavioral Analysis, Individual, and Group services.

Goals:

  • Increased functional communication, social, and play skills
  • Decreased behaviors interfering with participation in daily activities at home, school, or in the community
  • Generalized skills learned through structured therapy to apply into the natural environment

Program Highlights:

  • Treatment is designed to meet each child’s individual need
  • Your child’s treatment team will consist of highly trained, compassionate clinicians dedicated to ensuring your child progresses to their ultimate potential
  • Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are utilized throughout treatment; data collection, baseline/ follow up measures, researched based interventions
  • All goals are child centered and family focused in order to target meaningful improvements
  • Every child serviced regardless of diagnosis has the option to receive a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) as part of the intake process, which will guide the development of the treatment plan.

Design:

  • Each IBHS consumer is assigned a lead clinician as prescribed within the most recent Best Practice Psychological Evaluation and/or Written order
  • Assessments are completed with input from the consumer, family and other members of the treatment team. Information gathered is utilized to drive treatment within the Individualized Treatment Plan.
  • Members of the treatment team may include a BC, MT, and/ or a BHT
  • BC- A Master’s Level clinician responsible for the clinical oversight of the child. The BC is expected to complete the clinical assessment, develop the treatment plan, and fulfill the consultative role of the treatment team.
  • MT- A Master’s Level clinician responsible for the provision of individual and family therapy sessions as needed by the child. The MT may develop the treatment plan if a BC is not assigned to the child.
  • BHT- Is responsible for providing one to one treatment intervention to children in the home, school or community setting. Treatment interventions are provided to the BHT from the BC developed treatment plan.
  • Individualized treatment is provided through one on one sessions in the home, school or community setting fulfilling the prescription in the child’s most recent psychological evaluation and/or written order.
  • Sessions target individualized goals and objectives outlined in the treatment plan
