Clarvida operates a special purpose private school at the Clarvida Merrymeeting Center and an early learning program through the Clarvida Early Learning Center.
Merrymeeting Center
Clarvida’s Merrymeeting Center provides specially designed instruction, school- based rehabilitative and community supports (RCS), speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and social work to children and adolescents, in grades K-12, who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental disabilities, or have a mental health diagnosis. Clarvida’s Merrymeeting Center utilizes the evidence-based practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to promote academic, behavioral, communication, self-sufficiency, and social skills. Treatment plans are highly individualized on the basis of assessment data and family input, and emphasis generally is placed on teaching children and adolescents the functional skills required to integrate into their local communities with maximum levels of independence. The multidisciplinary team at Clarvida’s Merrymeeting Center is comprised of certified Special Education Teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Speech and Language Pathologists, an Occupational Therapist, a Licensed Psychologist and 1:1 Behavioral Health Professionals/Educational Technicians.
Early Learning Center
Clarvida’s Early Learning Center dually functions as a fully licensed childcare facility for preschoolers ages 3 to 5 years of age and an early childhood special education program approved by Child Development Services. The Early Learning Center endorses the belief that all children are welcome, valued, and deserving of highly quality care, supervision, and educational services in a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment. Therefore, the Early Learning Center encourages family involvement, offers exceptional staffing ratios, implements the research-based Creative Curriculum, and provides a continuum of services including regular early childhood education, specially designed instruction, school- based rehabilitative and community supports (RCS), speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and social work. The Early Learning Center’s team flexibly adapts the curriculum and environment to meet children’s individual learning needs.
